Godavari Group began its journey as Industrial Bearing Corporation (IBC) in the 1970s when there was rapid industrialization and quality bearings at affordable prices & quick deliveries were needed. We started IBC with the aim of supply of bearings quality bearings from a small office in Kanpur to the various nearby industries and expanding the reach to the whole of Uttar Pradesh. Soon, IBC ventured into industries like Sugar, Paper, Steel etc. IBC soon became a big industrial name for quick service and premium products. In 2000, the next generation came into the family business and we thought of taking the business to newer avenues by forming Godavari Enterprises(GE). GE was growing rapidly and soon acquired the distributorship of the prestigious Schaeffler brand – FAG; which is also the world leader in Bearings. FAG served as a stepping stone for GE and we ventured into defense business along with railways and bigger clients with FAG’s technical and superior products. In the year 2005, FYH brand (the largest and oldest pillow block unit’s manufacturer in Japan and is the world’s leading pillow block units brand) was added to the product portfolio of Godavari Enterprises. In the year 2009, we acquired the distributorship of INA, another brand of the Schaeffler group, and hence completing the Schaeffler’s Industrial Portfolio.
